Custom Raspberry pi Zeros sending raw h264 via UDP to server running Shinobi, input set to h.264/h.265/h.265+. Automatic to no, connection type UDP, not transcoding at all throughout, all copy, almost no CPU or GPU consumption apart from Yolo object detection and filters/regions/Shinobi overhead, very low latency. Command used to send video from the Raspberry Pis : raspivid -fps 25 -ex auto -fli off -fl -md 4 -cd H264 -n -mm matrix -a 1036 -ae +25+25 -awb greyworld -t 0 -w 1296 -h 972 -ih -pf high -g 2 -b 6000000 -drc high -rot 0 -o udp://192.168.1.201:5000 Using -g 2 to save a bit on bandwidth, -g 1 defaults to 20Mbps, Using low gop values for low latency. Before I was using ffmpeg and rawvideo to get video to a local v4l2loooback device. Using 1/10 the the resources now.
