How to Backup Monitor Configurations
Shinobi has methods to easily Import and Export a monitor or set of monitors with only a few clicks.

How to Export one Monitor
1. Open the Monitor Settings for the Monitor you wish to backup.
2. Click Options in the bottom left corner then Export.
- A file will be downloaded containing the configuration.
- The file created will be in JSON format.
- This can be imported to overwrite any Monitor with the same ID.
How to Import one Monitor
1. Open the Add Monitor window
2. Click Options in the bottom left corner then Import.
3. Select the configuration you wish to import.
- The Add Monitor (Monitor Settings) window can only import single Monitors, not bulk configurations.
- ZoneMinder's Monitor API response data can be pasted in the text area to quickly migrate from ZoneMinder as well.
How to Export multiple Monitors
1. Click the menu in the top left and select Monitors.
2. Select the Monitors you want to Export and click Export.
- A file will be downloaded containing the configurations of all the selected Monitors.
- The file created will be in JSON format.
- This can be imported to overwrite any Monitors with the same ID.
