How to open the Wall Display window
This tutorial assumes you have Shinobi installed and setup at least 1 camera.
- Login to your Shinobi Dashboard.
- Open the Live Grid tab on the left.
-
In the revealed additional options below "Live Grid" select "Open Wall Display".
- Ensure Popup Blocker is disabled for your Shinobi Dashboard web page.
- A new window will open. Select your Monitors in the top right.
- For multiple screens click "New Wall Display" to open another window.
- Each window should remember the Monitors that were opened in it. This is saved on the computer, so if you open the Wall Display on another device they will have to be setup again to have their own layout.
Usage Tip
The Wall Display uses an API endpoint. You can see it in the URL bar of the Wall Display Window. By using a Manually created API Key you can open the web endpoint through a shortcut rather than logging in to the dashboard each time.
Here is an example.
http://SERVER_ADDRESS/API_KEY/wallview/GROUP_KEY
- SERVER_ADDRESS: The IP Address and Port of your Shinobi server.
- API_KEY : This is either your session key when logged in or a manually created API Key.
- GROUP_KEY : The unique string the identifies the user group. See API Key information to find this.
Permission Required for API Keys
- Can Authenticate Websocket
- Can Get Monitors
- Can View Streams
