How do I Activate Shinobi?
It's pretty easy all you need to do is get your Subscription ID from your ShinobiShop account!
Activate the Shinobi Server Software
There are two ways to do this. The easiest being through the Superuser panel. The second being through the Terminal (Command line).
Activating through Superuser Panel
Login to the superuser panel.
1. Open the IP Address of your Shinobi server in your web browser.
- Be sure /super is the web path.
- The IP address printed in the terminal window when Shinobi is done installing
- The Login page will appear with a Green hue to signify you are at the correct login page.

2. Login with the default Superuser credentials.
- Username : [email protected]
- Password : admin
Note : Be sure that you change these credentials in the Preferences tab of the Superuser panel.
Activating through Terminal
Modify the Shinobi Main Configuration file and add the parameter subscriptionId.
Here is what you would paste in your conf.json on Line 2 of the file. sub_XXXXXXXXXXX would be replaced with your Subscription ID.
"subscriptionId":"sub_XXXXXXXXXXX",
You can do this from either the Superuser panel or terminal. By default Shinobi is installed at /home/Shinobi and located inside you will find the conf.json file.
Where to get a Subscription ID?
You may get one at the ShinobiShop website.
If you ordered through PayPal you should have recieved an email with this information.
Did not get the PayPal email with your key?
You can view your active subscriptions, the ID of the subscription is the partial License Key.
For example : I-XXXXXXXXXX
The complete License key would be paypalSub__I-XXXXXXXXXX. Essentially just prefix with "paypalSub__".

Where can I view my purchased Subscriptions for Shinobi?
You may login at the ShinobiShop. The Account page will have a listing of your active Subscriptions.
At present PayPal subscriptions must be viewed within the respective PayPal account.
How do I cancel my Subscription?
You may login at the ShinobiShop. The Account page will have a listing of your active Subscriptions. Click the menu icon to the right of the desired Subscription ID and click Cancel.
PayPal Subscriptions must be cancelled within the respective PayPal account.
What is my ShinobiShop password? I never set one during purchase
If you signed up without logging in first then your account was automatically created under the email used for the payment. Your account password will be set to your Customer ID. If you do not know what your Customer ID is please contact us through the chat bubble located at the bottom right of this page.
